Working closely with the Mobile Marketing team, it was determined that a large number of customers were mispelling our text-in codes and then dropping out of the opt-in process, resulting in lost aqcuistion for Cabela's SMS Program and in turn, sales for Cabela's. Strategizing a solution using jQuery, I was able to add a first in the industry "click to text" functionality to Cabela's SMS program. Clicking the CTA from a mobile device, IOS and Android, opens their messaging app prepopulated with the keyword. This has cut down on the amount of customers dropping out of the opt-in process by over 10%.
SMS SHARE PROGRAM
To increase Cabela's SMS send list before the big holiday push, I worked with our mobile partners in Denver to create this contest. We wanted to display how the contest worked to new-comers to the Cabela's SMS program, and thus getting them signed up for our send list. The contest included the unique ability for each participant to share the program with friends and family, thus giving them more chances to win.
